As widely accepted as it is today to be gay, the subject of Barack Obama’s sexual orientation remains very close to taboo. Taboo, too, is just about all criticism of the “good” Biden son, the late Beau Biden. To involve both these subjects in one story borders on blasphemy. But blasphemous or not, this a story that needs to be told, if for no other reason than to expose the hypocrisy of the legacy media.
As a presidential candidate in 2008 Obama proceeded cautiously on homosexual issues, famously telling Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church congregation, “I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman.” He added, “Now, for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union. God’s in the mix.” That Obama took this stand in California incensed local LGBT activists. On the California ballot that year was Proposition 8, a measure that would ban same-sex marriage.
In 2008, the fear of offending the “black church” was the ostensible reason for Obama’s caution, but it wasn’t the only reason. Obama faced rumors that he himself was gay. No subject made those close to Obama more nervous. Late in Obama’s presidency, for instance, college girlfriend Alex McNear redacted a section of a letter she shared with Obama biographer David Garrow. McNear thought Obama’s reflections on homosexuality “too explosive.”
Her concern was understandable. In his early twenties, years before the subject was fashionable, Obama wrote to McNear that he viewed gay sex as “an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life.”
Obama continued, “You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination. My mind is androgynous to a great extent and I hope to make it more so.” Only after McNear sold the Obama letters to Emory University in 2016 was Garrow able to access the original and even then with some difficulty. Garrow, a Pulitzer Prize winner, included the passage in the paperback version of his deeply researched 2017 book, Rising Star.
Then, too, there is “Pop,” a poem Obama wrote as a college sophomore about his adolescent mentor, Frank Marshall Davis. Given Davis’s bisexuality and Obama’s fantasies about gay sex, the honest critic has to think hard about the following excerpt: “Pop takes another shot, neat / Points out the same amber / Stain on his shorts that I’ve got on mine / and / Makes me smell his smell, coming / From me.”
A therapist who blogged under the label “Neo-Neocon” hesitated to call the interaction “outright sexual abuse,” but she imagined it at the very least “a boundary violation.” She explained, “This child feels invaded—perhaps even taken over—by this man, and is fighting against that sensation.”
In January 2008, a fellow named Larry Sinclair fueled rumors about Obama’s sexuality when he went up on YouTube with his allegations of a two-day coke and sex romp with State Senator Obama in 1999.
Fearless, if nothing else, Sinclair then booked space at the National Press Club in Washington to detail his reputed relationship with Obama. From the beginning, the corporate media, including the “responsible” right, pretended Sinclair did not exist.
The actual work of attacking Sinclair’s credibility fell to the alternative progressive media. As soon as Sinclair announced plans for the press conference, leftists launched an internet petition drive demanding the Press Club deny him its stage.
To its credit, the National Press Club refused to buckle. On June 18, 2008, Sinclair held his press conference. In watching it years later, I am impressed by how well Sinclair understood Obama’s hold on the media. If a white man asked a question about a black man who chose to run for president, he observed, “All of a sudden you’re called a racist, a bigot.”
A genuine character, Sinclair acknowledged up front the various crimes he had committed in years past. He wanted to take that cudgel away from the media. Sinclair then explained in exquisite detail the nature of his alleged 1999 interaction with then state senator Obama.
Sinclair provided dates, the name of the hotel, the name of the limo driver who arranged the assignation, the specifics of their sexual interlude, as well as insights into his more recent phone conversations with Donald Young, a member of Reverend Wright’s church and an alleged lover of Obama’s.
More than once during the question and answer period, reporters asked Sinclair, given his “tremendous credibility problem,” why they should take him seriously. In turn, Sinclair asked the reporters “to do your jobs and find facts.” He provided them several useful leads and challenged them to follow up. Sinclair specifically asked the reporters to check Young’s phone records. He believed Obama had knowledge about Young’s 2007 murder, a crime that remains unsolved to this day.
Leading the charge to discredit Sinclair was Ben Smith, then with Politico. Politico editors headlined Smith’s article from the day of the press conference, “Obama accuser has long rap sheet.” In the article, Smith cited Sinclair’s previous arrests in Florida, Colorado, and South Carolina.
In an aside that President Trump might find amusing, Politico claimed it would not publish Sinclair’s “outlandish” allegations because they were “unsubstantiated.” As should be obvious, the media had stunningly different standards for Sinclair and, say, Stormy Daniels or Christine Blasey Ford or E. Jean Carroll. Carroll, for instance, became a media darling although uncertain of the year Trump allegedly raped her.
Then, too, the same liberal media that championed all things LGBT saw something inherently distasteful in Sinclair’s tale of consensual gay sex. The messenger in this case had to be attacked, exposed, eliminated as a threat, and that he was.
Upon leaving the press conference, two U.S. Marshals took Sinclair into custody. According to a June 19, 2008, article in Slate, Sinclair was facing a new and unexpected charge out of Delaware, a state unmentioned in Politico’s exposé.
Sinclair’s attorney, Montgomery Blair Sibley, expressed his belief that someone informed Delaware authorities about the press conference. “Obviously, Larry’s presence in D.C. was not a surprise or secret,” said Sibley. “They put two and two together.”
The “they” almost assuredly included Joe and Beau Biden. At the time of Sinclair’s arrest, Joseph Robinette "Beau" Biden III was the attorney general of the State of Delaware. In a 2023 interview with Dinesh D’Souza, Sinclair claimed he was arrested on Beau’s orders. “Apparently,” said Sinclair, “he had a grand jury indictment from two weeks after I went public on Obama accusing me of a theft that never took place.”
In the absence of any media follow up, Sinclair’s claim stands uncontested. Delaware authorities did take Sinclair into custody, It is hard to believe they would have done so without a green light from Beau Biden, and it is equally hard to believe Beau would have proceeded without prompting from Joe.
Two months after Delaware authorities had Sinclair arrested on a trumped up charge, Obama picked Joe Biden as his running mate. In the November election, these two strong family men prevailed at the ballot box.
In California, to the dismay of LGBT activists, Proposition 8 also prevailed. Obama insiders had to have recognized the obvious: if even California was unready for same-sex marriage, America was sure as hell not ready for a gay president.
If electoral victory meant locking up a would-be truth teller, so be it. In the years to come, Obama and Biden two would get lots of practice.
My most recent book, a timely one, is widely available in all formats.
I saw the interview with Larry Sinclair by Tucker and another person. He was completely credible and told an interesting story. I don't give a f that Obama is gay and Big Mike is a tranny. The part that bothers me is the lies and gaslighting by tptsb. Stop trying to portray these people as "family men", it's an insult to true family men. Obama was a CIA creation before he was even born. His whole family are assets and if you follow his life story, you can see how he was constructed. The demons behind the propping up of Barry have a long standing plan to destroy the human race as we know it and create a slave race of mixed ethnicity. All an affront to our Creator, that's how far it goes back; to the garden of Eden and satans rebellion. They're still rebelling against Yah and won't stop until Yah steps in and does it Himself. That day can't come soon enough 🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏿
Knew a lot of this. Wasn't Larry murdered? MSM lies about everything. The 'family' that was portrayed was a lie. There were no children adopted, thank God. They were rented for photo ops? Obama was brought up by Comunist Granparents while mom flopped around the world with her lovers. BTW Obama Sr can't be father look at photos, he looks more like Davis is his father, prob molested him too. He was raised Muslim in Indonesia by Soretoro and still is a Muslim. So much for a "typical" American family man. Yea, then there's the birth cert!!
Don't get me started on Bidens.
