We need help and we need it now. We pay taxes and are American citizens. Our do nufin local leaders have no interest in our protection. The Governor needs to step up and President Trump needs to relaunch Legends 2.0!

In 1985, A friend and I drove from Denver, CO to Vineland NJ over Thanksgiving weekend. We were in our mid-20's. The only warning we heard was, "Do NOT get off I-70 in East St. Louis!!"

I’m pretty sure all major U.S. cities that have had a decade or more of Democrat control (I.e. mayor & majority city council) are now essentially lawless.

My work-related travel took me to dozens, but even just 10-years ago I’d rate Chicago as the most dangerous. Driving from Midway Airport north about 5-miles to Eisenhower I-290 thru a large (since demolished) public housing section was a real “roll-of-the-dice.” Frequent gunshots, constant 45-minute delays with ambulances and patrol cars, squee-jee shake-down artists at every traffic light on Cicero.

I can’t imagine living in that area, or sending my child to school there…..

‘As long as the killing remains intramural, the media choose not to notice.’ Exactly. In fact, intramural killings are a great tool for the elites. Does anyone really think a woke, dumbed down (and easily controlled) mayor will actually get off the hook. Not a chance, as the massive organized crime syndicate that would rule the world is ALL connected…from the top down to a mayor in America. The justice phase is gradually getting underway.

Thank you for an enlightening post!

Failure to treat criminals as criminals has lead to the destruction of American cities. Why would one ever go to Newark ? No shopping, nothing unique. I have been there for courts, to visit lawyers, or to go to school. There is a NJPAC and a sports arena. But they are basically -park, go in, go home. Most American cities are like this because white people were driven out. The cities are shells of what they once were.

My pet theory for why Midwest/Mississippi watershed blacks are on average shootier than eastern seaboard blacks: the more unruly slaves were sold to the new cotton plantations in the 19th century, as worn-out tobacco plantations didn't need all the ones they were generating and imports ended. Eastern owners kept the ones they trusted more--some were blood relatives.

I have to comment on this as I am in the undesirable position of personally knowing of at least one person in 12 murders; 7 perpetrators and 8 victims. Growing up in Newark NJ, I’ve known both killer and victim of several instances with neighbors being on both sides of the event. I stay out of Sporting events, concerts and big cities as I’ve seen angry crowds threaten both civilians and police. I have friends in Kansas City and other major cities and pray for them every day.

Just a thought. I’m wondering what happens to the active criminals in D.C. if they are not arrested and taken off the streets there ?? Will they simply drive to or move to nearby neighboring Virginia and/or Maryland ?? Might we expect to see a slightly time-delayed but significant increase in crime committed in these liberal bastions ??

You have no idea what you're talking about. Zero. If you want to look at generational poverty and how people are hurt in Kansas City, there are people you can talk to. Repeating conservative talking points because they make you feel good is not the way to go. There are plenty of divorced families and single parents in Overland Park.

And their kids do not shoot each other and anybody else like they do in KCMO. So maybe single parenting is NOT the root cause of the mayhem.

My first visit to St. Louis in 2009 I received the same warning.

Read old historical books, they document the tribalism and blood lusts of black Africans. It has not changed since. It is on exhibit in Africa today and in the ghettos of our cities.

Its not because of slavery, that's just the cover. Blacks live better here than they would in any African nation. And they know it!

Many who are honest hardworking members, live in fear of the gangs. They bar there windows and beg for relief from the crime and mayhem. Yet, when the city respond with more police and reduce crime, they then complain they are being racially targeted.

Why?

Answer, Tribalism.

Its a systemic cultural problem that the the black ghetto society refused to address, as all the viable solutions involve "Whitey". The common refrain supported by the race baters being, "It's a Black thing." The tribalist race card of vicimhood is played over & over and supported by liberal tears.

This will continue untill stop looking at the past grievences, we all have them, and look to future solution.

Two quotes by Hannah Arendt are prescient. The first for the aggrieved; the second for the politicians.

"The only antidote to the irreversibility of history is the faculty of forgiveness."

"Only crime and the criminal, it is true, confront us with the perplexity of radical evil; but only the hypocrite is really rotten to the core."

Strongly opposed to President Trump doing anything about the crime rates in any American city. An exception needed to be made for DC because it’s our nation’s capitol, the federal government has ultimate authority over DC and has a responsibility to prevent the wanton murder of foreign nationals and diplomats. In every other respect and in every other jurisdiction, “you get what you vote for” and the voters need to pay the price for their voting habits.

Are we certain that people are too dumb to keep electing people that don’t serve the community’s interest? Or, are the elections corrupt? I don’t pretend to know the answers and although I’ve traveled to all the country’s cities, I wasn’t raised in a city, although my husband was.

There's no moderate party placing a candidate for mayor on the ballot. I voted for Lucas because he was the least left of our options. Seriously. I was hopeful he would stick to what he campaigned on but that hasn't been the case.

Trump doesn’t need to send in the guard. His point is to draw attention to crime in these cities and force city and state governments to do something otherwise he will. Tolerating the status quo is not acceptable. This is classic Trump. Newsom has already responded as Trump wants. The others will follow and soon the position of the Democratic Party will be law and order. And the extremes in their party will tear them apart. Can’t have it both ways.
