Sickening. The Covid response denied liberties, but the J6 response denied justice. Inexcusable.

The government employees who pursued most of those prosections, and held people without bail should be prosecuted themselves.

Seeing Through the Keyhole's avatar

So should Nancy Pelosi, who orchestrated both the break-in and Gestapo response.

Anyone remember the individual who allegedly broke into the Pelosi compound in San Francisco? The man who is alleged to have attacked Paul Pelosi was the same individual, a Canadian, whose video company recorded the interior of the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, hired by one of the Pelosi daughters, and was escorted through the Senate and Capitol at almost the precise time of the protestors’ break in. The man who allegedly attacked Pelosi was allowed into the compound, wanting payment: no doubt he was thoroughly searched by compound security, which has very sophisticated electronic surveillance, warning, and alarm systems. How he came to be accused of attacking Pelosi with a hammer (where did that come from?) is unknown. Of course, whatever the Pelosis told the San Francisco news and police is what we know about this incident.

Many frustrations with our central government led to J6. Covid was certianly one of them. Kristi, you are silly to think citizen reaction to the Covid oppression was orchestrated by Trump. But I'm guessing that you are one of the unhinged.

Kristi is most definitely unhinged. She doesn’t even have enough common sense to realize that the Biden administration had everything and they did not pursue Donald J Trump for P. They did not release any of the records of those involved with P. Timing is everything. Kristi is just one of the many unhinged Karen’s that we have to deal with in Society every day that have no common sense whatsoever. Although timing is everything there will never be a time for Kristi to ever have any common sense. She may as well have a septum ring and be let around by a leash.

for what have the Blacks and Muslims achieved at all levels of American politics?

The minorities are not born to withstand the rigors of American politics, which

Rand Paul released 1,100 pgs of Fauci’s private diaries to take him down

2/27/2020, Fauci writes he told Trump DIRECTLY not to downplay the virus, and warned him it would look like a cover up if things went bad.

He also called him “an idiot” and “a true embarrassment.”

Skenny's avatar

It would also look like a cover-up if a bunch of shit was covered up, like Fauci did. He's an admitted liar, and apparently a psychopath.

Kristi's avatar

You just demonstrated the exact reasoning problem I was talking about. “Fauci covered up a bunch of shit” is a conclusion, not evidence. Then you jump from that conclusion to “he’s a psychopath,” which isn’t an argument at all. It’s name-calling dressed up as analysis.

And there’s some spectacular irony here: the diary you’re discussing records Fauci warning Trump not to downplay COVID because, if things became serious, it could look like a cover-up.

If you have evidence that Fauci committed a specific deception, present it. Then we can examine the evidence, competing explanations, timeline, and causal chain.

But “he lied, he covered everything up, and he’s a psychopath” isn’t a causal chain.

It’s three accusations wearing a trench coat pretending to be an argument. 😂

January 6th was a seditious act planned and executed by Charlie Kirk. His company had the permit for the rally on January 6th and he mobilized and transported all the “protesters” who for some reason arrived with building breaching equipment for a “peaceful rally”

Missing from the testimony: the other President. The one actually in office during the pandemic year Fauci is famous for.

Fauci was NIAID director. An advisor. No executive authority. Trump was the President. Trump launched Operation Warp Speed in May 2020. Trump alone made the decisions on federal vaccine policy and mandates. Not Fauci. The President. Fauci advised. Trump governed.

Add it to this year’s congressional greatest hits. Fauci hearing that scrubs Trump out. UFO hearings dropping fresh fuzzy footage right on cue to pump a Spielberg movie that bombed. Trump’s own account posting a “real” photo of an alien in handcuffs being escorted by the President himself.

Epstein files still sitting there. Iran war still sitting there. But look, aliens.

Kristi's avatar

Oh, I know you didn’t mention Trump by name. That’s what makes this funny. You’re repeating a political narrative pushed relentlessly by Trump and his allies, then acting shocked when someone recognizes the ecosystem it came from.

That’s like reciting the menu and saying, “I never mentioned the restaurant.”

And “you’re obsessed with Trump” has become such a convenient thought-terminating cliché. Discuss Trump’s policies: obsessed. Discuss January 6: obsessed. Discuss claims promoted by his political allies: obsessed. Apparently the one unacceptable response is examining the actual causal system.

You brought up January 6 prosecutions and suggested government employees should themselves be prosecuted. I identified the larger political narrative surrounding that argument. That isn’t obsession. That’s context.

But by all means, tell me again how mentioning the most politically consequential person connected to the argument you’re making is somehow less relevant than pretending he exists in a completely separate universe. 😂

The real question is, how do we break through to those who refuse to see? I propose billboards where they can't be missed: A photo of Fauci with "He lied, and __#__died" with a photo of Rebecca Powell, "4 1/2 years for breaking a window" or Christine Priola, "15 months for carrying a sign." Or "Abortion clinics were open, but your school was closed." I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud. We have to find a way to break through to these people or we're doomed.

Nothing about Fauci’s character was a secret: in a 1996 interview with journo Gary Null, biochemist Kary Mullis accused Fauci of being a liar, someone who didn’t mind going on TV and lying to the people who pay his salary.

Mullis pioneered the PCR process and he was warning us about how it could be abused by unscrupulous actors to instill fear in a population. Decades before c0\/!d, Mullis foresaw The Casedemic.

Rick Janes's avatar

Kary Mullis’ very untimely death, shortly before plandemic exercise Event 201, really cleared the path for scamsters like Fauci and Drosten to bludgeon humanity with their fraudulent "Science" and PCR casedemic.

Anyone who hasn’t watched Mullis’ 1996 interview with Gary Null should really give it a look, because the biochemist drops verbal napalm on Fauci and his fraudsters.

Kristi's avatar

Rick, you’re making an enormous causal leap here. Kary Mullis criticizing Fauci in 1996 establishes that Mullis disliked or distrusted Fauci. It does not establish that Fauci later perpetrated scientific fraud, and it certainly doesn’t establish that Mullis’s death “cleared the path” for anything.

Mullis died of pneumonia in August 2019. Event 201 occurred later, in October. Putting those two events next to each other and implying significance without evidence is correlation-by-storytelling, not a causal explanation.

The PCR argument has the same problem. Mullis raised legitimate concerns about what PCR results can and cannot tell you. But that is very different from demonstrating that COVID PCR testing was fraudulent. A technology having limitations does not make the technology a fraud.

This is exactly why systems thinking requires separating evidence from inference. Your chain appears to be: Mullis criticized Fauci → Mullis died → Event 201 happened → COVID happened → PCR was used → therefore fraud.

Every arrow in that chain requires evidence. Suspicion isn’t the connective tissue of causation.

Question Fauci. Question public-health institutions. Question PCR protocols. I’m perfectly comfortable with all three. But apply the same skepticism to the story you want to believe that you apply to the institutions you distrust.

“An establishment that was willing to deceive them about something as life-and-death as COVID, they figured, would not hesitate to deceive them about the results of the 2020 election.”

Exactly, especially when the regime told us that it was the “most secure election ever” without providing a shred of evidence to support that claim. Also, we had to swallow the lies of the George Floyd death as we watched the ACAB riots morph into leftwing revolutionary violence and struggle sessions rooted in anti-white racialist ideology. Ordinary Americans were locked down by the COVID mandates while political thugs, virtue signalers, and useful idiots had free reign in the streets. There are many fallacies in the leftwing narrative of J6; an underappreciated one is treating J6 as if it occurred in a vacuum.

Preach jack. Well past time to hang birx and fauci

Kristi's avatar

Justin, “hang Birx and Fauci”? And this is supposed to be the side defending liberty and the rule of law?

You’ve skipped evidence, investigation, charges, trial, due process, verdict, and sentencing and gone directly to execution because you dislike public officials. That isn’t justice. It is precisely the arbitrary exercise of power that people in this thread claim to fear.

If you believe Birx or Fauci committed crimes, name the statute, present the evidence, and let the legal system test it. That’s how a constitutional republic works.

There’s a rather spectacular contradiction in demanding protection from government tyranny while simultaneously advocating that the government execute your political enemies without due process.

You don’t defend liberty by abandoning its principles the moment they become inconvenient.

As Thomas Paine wrote, “He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression.”

Steve Hoffman's avatar

I did not endorse Grok or its answer, simply acknowledging my source. When I just now pressed Grok on how it missed the reporting, here was its answer:

"When you asked on July 28 how Paul obtained the diaries, the RFK Jr. disclosure from the previous evening’s Ingraham Angle was already on the record and had been reported by Fox, the Washington Post, CNN, and others. I should have surfaced it. Instead I gave you the older, incomplete version (Paul’s office silent + typewritten notes). That was a failure to retrieve and prioritize the latest available reporting on a fast-moving story. You should not have to specially instruct me to check the most recent news when you ask a timely question about a developing story. The expectation is that I find and weigh the newest credible accounts, especially when major outlets have already carried them. I missed it. That’s on me."

I find Grok regularly makes mistakes.

And the Bishops should have told the various governments to get lost. The Bishops should have been the ones to decide to open or close churches, not the local Mayors or Governors.

Big mistake to allow government rather than religious authorities to call the shots. Big mistake.

Dianne Warner's avatar

In my mother’s Episcopal church, they refused to say one simple prayer after Charlie Kirk was assimilated. They’re all WOKE.

Dr. Dre's avatar

I was baptized in an Episcopal church in 1950. I give the organization maybe . . . 15 yrs. They have a huge endowment at Trinity in NYC, but not much activity in the Sunday schools or confirmation classes these days. Mostly oldsters like me making funeral arrangements! So many "ordained" women these days, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, can be a real turn-off for men to attend seminary.

Kristi's avatar

Dianne, a church declining to offer a specific public prayer for Charlie Kirk does not automatically make the congregation “woke.” People are allowed to have complicated feelings about a political activist whose legacy was deeply contested.

Kirk’s supporters may remember him as a defender of conservative values and open debate. His critics point to rhetoric they considered inflammatory, discriminatory, and deeply divisive. That disagreement matters when trying to understand why a congregation might not choose to publicly memorialize him.

And this is precisely where the word “woke” becomes intellectually lazy. Instead of asking why members of a congregation might object, it converts disagreement into a label and the label into a moral judgment.

You can condemn someone’s murder unequivocally, have compassion for their family, and still critically examine the rhetoric and political movement that person helped build. Those ideas aren’t mutually exclusive.

Compassion for a person’s death does not require rewriting the impact of their life.

That distinction isn’t “woke.” It’s nuance.

Rick Janes's avatar

"If you quietly bend your Necks to that Yoke, you prove yourselves ready to receive any Bondage to which your Lords and Masters shall please to subject you."

- John Dickinson

Kristi's avatar

Rick, I understand the warning behind the Dickinson quote, and the principle is worth taking seriously. Government power absolutely should be questioned.

But Dickinson wasn’t arguing that every exercise of government authority equals tyranny. The important question is whether the power is lawful, proportionate, temporary, accountable, and subject to constitutional limits.

That’s where I think this argument skips a step. You can’t simply move from “government restricted something” to “therefore bondage.” You have to establish the causal chain in between.

Systems thinking matters here because government power has feedback loops in both directions: too much unchecked authority can erode liberty, but too little capacity to respond to collective threats can also harm the very people government exists to protect. The challenge is designing constraints and accountability around that power.

A quotation can give us a principle. It can’t do the analysis for us.

As Carl Sagan put it, “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.”

That applies to government claims — and to claims about government.
