I believe this is called The Fallacy of the Red Herring. Gin up fake outrage, fake statistics to support your fake outrage and publicise fake crimes against the Criminal Class as truth, so people won't think about the real crime statistics, the real airport chair-throwing riots, the real twerking on McDonalds' countertops, the running gun battles, the complete ignorance of how to behave in public.

A YouTube video has gone viral of a woman walking the streets of Osaka, Japan, in the wee hours of the morning - in perfect safety. Why is that, you ask? Because Japan is a homogeneous culture that has never succumbed to "Diversity," and you don't have swarthy predators looking for a pretty girl to rob and rape.

Your last paragraph reminds me of my last visit to NYC (some 17 yrs. ago). A pretty girl (an old gf) and I would roam the streets in the wee hours, also in perfect safety. Our safety was not a product of NYC's lack of diversity (Ha!); it was a product of us being accompanied by 3 GSDs and a pitbull, plus a surreptitiously-carried P-35 (in deliberate violation of the Sullivan Law).

Plus, when some skell undeterred by the dogs began to get too close, my friend (as NYC women learn to do) issued an unmistakeable warning: "That's close enough! Stay TF away from me!!"

Still, you couldn't pay me to set foot there today, even with my own personal SWAT team.

"Lest anyone think that he, as an Arkansas native, had anything to do with that dark history, he reminded the audience that he was a boy at the time, and even then his heart was in the right place. Indeed, he was still haunted by 'vivid and painful memories of black churches being burned in my own state when I was a child.'"

Thank you, Jack, for the reminder (as if one were needed) that Dems/Libs/Progs/Commies are liars. It's what they do. But of course they don't lie ALL the time, only when it's convenient and furthers their agenda.

Bubba Clinton was/is one of the most facile of liars; besides "I did not have sex with that woman," I'll never forget the Arkansas native declaring, "Some of my most memorable times have been mornings in a duck blind with my rifle."

And as to the "revelation" that groups like The National Council of Churches (NCC) and the Center for Democratic Renewal (CDR) were “two secretly Marxist organizations headquartered in the United States,” it all just goes to prove that "Tailgunner Joe" was right!

Let's give President Clinton credit where credit is due! Hunting ducks in flight with a rifle (.223 semi-auto, or what?) —rather than the usual twelve gauge shotgun— is vastly more sporting and compassionate.

Stu Tarlowe's avatar

Sure, why not? Years ago a friend was rousted while carrying a revolver and a flashlight. He claimed he was hunting deer. The flashlight constituted an unfair advantage, so he used a revolver instead of a rifle in order to be more "sporting."

Dennis Habern's avatar

Normally, hunting deer with a revolver is illegal, but more sporting..

I'm not so sure. Willie could have clipped one of those low-flying drug planes around Mena.

To the Dems/Libs/Progs/Commies our country’s entire history is a dark era that they can always harken back to.

Another great piece Jack.

1996 the Uniparty was going to win regardless no?

While all this nonsense was going on Senator Hatfield was bribed to NOT support a Balanced Budget Amendment when our debt was….

$5.2 Trillion and today we are at $40.2 Trillion…

Every ELECTED person since then ought have their finances examined, credit cards, bank statements and all investments to verify their tax returns! (as well as their friends, family, associates and donors)

If any of the $35 Trillion is discovered: public executions will have to become a standard procedure so this ridiculous spending never happen again and we as a country can begin to our recovery from their deceit.

These People!!

In liberal Canada, the fantasy has been made real. Without putting much effort into checking, I believe something like 133 Christian churches have been burnt down in Canada over the last 10 years – no mosques tho.

Oddly, the CBC, admits of only 47 since 2020 and claims that only 24 of those have been identified as arson While admitting of no fires at synagogues. Sometimes I am embarrassed for my country.

You’re kind. Frankly you ought to frequently be embarrassed. I guess after a while you just get tired of it all. Hey but, elbows up, right?

Bob dole basically nailed it in. He ran one of the poorest campaigns ever. A strong conservative would have destroyed Clinton. But they never run. Just write columns.

I was soo disgusted with Dole. He was a willing patsy. When the election was over he appeared on a talk show, maybe the Tonight Show, and it was like "I can be my authentic self now" and was witty, and charming and intelligent, not dull like was during the campaign. I was so angry watching, I was cursing at the TV. I was like "where the F were you!".

Dr. Dre's avatar

I went to a Dole campaign rally in Cleveland OH. I was a Repub precinct captain, elected in those days, from a nearby county. Dole was there being friendly, and awkwardly moving his hands (stiff from WWII Army injury) in time to the chant that was being sung: "Bob Dole for President, Bob Dole for President. . . ." You get the picture. I did have an interesting chat with (sorry, my age is showing) a wonderful young reporter (Mike ? with Irish last name). He passed away a short time later. Was hailed as a new conservative voice in the media. Sorry not to recall. Maybe someone here will know who I'm talking about.

That election of '96 hardened the Republican Party's reputation as the "Wait in Line to Take Your Turn Getting Elected Club." You'd think they would have learned how not to choose a candidate from such a lineup from Clinton's beating George H. W. Bush in 1992. I mean Dole was even OLDER than that Bush!

It strikes me as funny/ironic that the young'uns of the 90s, non-combat vets from the 60s, are now the old dudes in power. Well, I shouldn't include W or Bill Clinton in this current group, only President Trump. Not sure of mental health of W, as he stays out of the fray, has never had a good word to say about the president either. Likes to pal around with the Obamas. Also, I've never been able to figure out what the story is of Al Gore's departure from the political scene and his divorce from Tipper. Huh? The press covered for him pretty well. He figured out the climate scam when people still thought he was a noble soul!

I just finished listening to Nothing Left, a memoir by former Democratic fundraiser Evan Barker. The book opens and closes with her walking out of the 2024 DNC convention, both furious and heartbroken that the party failed to live up to her vision of progressive politics. She’d enthusiastically embraced the health care reform promised by Obama. Over the years, she saw the progressives sell out to join with the Establishment, whose actions as she described exemplify fascism at its most potent: top down, closed door decision making that the rank and file criticized at great peril.

The web of influencers and NGOs in which she operated is horrifying. And they’re prepared today to stop at nothing amplifying the fears and slanders that identity politics demand in today’s political climate.

Jon Ossoff is bloviating and doing what the Democrats always do, use a boogeyman to scare people into voting for them because they’ve got nothing else. White supremacy and the return of Jim Crow are one of the most common boogeymen Democrats use. Never mind anti-Semitism is flourishing within the party. Jon Ossoff must be the real-life Rip Van Winkle. He seems to think that this is 1955 and segregationists still run state politics in the South, the Ku Klux Klan runs around doing whatever they want, interracial marriage is against the law in Southern states, poll taxes, literacy tests, grandfather clauses, and lynching are still in full effect, the Tuskegee Experiment is still going on, black people are still forced to the back of the bus by white people, the civil rights legislation hadn’t been signed yet, and blacks and whites are still using separate drinking foundations. You might want to do what Captain America did and study up on current times, Jon!

I think you’ll find both America and the South have changed a h*** of a lot since then. Jon, the KKK are tiny little group of 5,000 people with no power or influence anymore. Neo-Nazis have zero power or influence either. Both are rejected by 99.9% of people including most white Southerners and most white Republicans. These are non-issues that you are fear mongering about. Does racism still exist in America? Of course. Is the militant far-right a problem? Yes. But none of these points changes the facts. America is one of the least racist, most inclusive countries on the face of this Earth. But the Democrats have done this before. The NCC and CDR pushed the lie that there had been a rash of church burnings in the South in 1996. By the way, Marxists have run the NCC since 1961 and the CDR is a coalition of race-baiting Southern clergy, progressive activists and leftist radicals. Rev. C.T. Vivian claimed there was only a slippery slope between conservative Christians and those doing the supposed church burnings. The CDR also said the fight against affirmative action and populists like Pat Buchanan had contributed to this climate of hate. Let’s debunk these talking points one by one, shall we?

The vast majority of conservative Christians condemn racism as evil and un-Christlike. Billy Graham, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson all condemned racism and Graham fought against racial segregation. Most conservative Christians hate the KKK and Neo-Nazis. The fight against affirmative action was never based on racism but rather was about making sure unqualified people weren’t being hired to jobs or getting college admissions they didn’t earn or deserve. There were black conservatives who fought against affirmative action too along with their white peers like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Larry Elder, Shelby Steele, Alan Keyes, Ward Connerly, Ken Blackwell, Allan West, Dr. Ben Carson, Dr. Carol Swain, Coleman Hughes, Glenn Loury, Jason Riley, and many others. I guess Jesse Jackson and C.T. Vivian forgot about them. 😉 Pat Buchanan is not a racist or an antisemite. Nor was his 1996 Presidential Campaign in any way racist nor did he ever slur minorities while on the campaign trail. Conservative populism has nothing to do with bigotry, it is about putting America First, low taxes, small government, ending regime change wars, protectionism, social conservatism, and Judeo-Christian values. Pat Buchanan was basically the father of the MAGA Movement.

As always, conservatives are accused of racism. Remember when Julian Bond said “the Republican Party would have us flying the Nazi flag alongside the American flag?” No Julian, the GOP hates Nazis, condemns white supremacy and antisemitism, has a ton of Jewish supporters, and was horrified by Charlottesville. That description would probably be more appropriate for the OTHER major party in America who ran Graham Platner despite having an SS tattoo and embraces Jihadists. Various news outlets would soon debunk the nonsense these groups were spewing. There was in fact, no rash of black church burnings in Georgia in 1996. President Bill Clinton was in on the hoax too. On a radio interview, he claimed he remembered seeing black churches burning to the ground as a child in Arkansas.

For one thing, no black church burnings happened in Arkansas in the Civil Rights Era. Second, Bill Clinton was a young man when all this was going on. But by the time he reached adulthood, the country had change a whole h*** of a lot. Clinton lived to see the major civil rights legislation signed, black mayors be elected in every major city, Reginald Lewis become the first black billionaire, shows like Good Times, The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Another World, Julia, Hauser 704, In the Heat of the Night, and I Spy debut on TV, Greg Morris, Eartha Kitt, Sidney Poitier, Brock Peters, Roscoe Lee Browne, Ciecly Tyson, LeVar Burton, James Earl Jones, Paul Winfield, James Avery, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Samuel L. Jackson, Halle Barry, Tupac Shakur, Michael Duncan Clarke, and Mos Def break new ground in TV and film, Michael Jackson become the most famous man on the planet, Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, Ken Griffey Jr., Tiger Woods, and Michael Johnson excel in sports, Motown music become wildly popular, MLK Day become a national holiday, Black History Month become a thing, Blackplotation films become widely viewed and beloved, and Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison and James Baldwin become celebrated literary figures. Looks like Bill Clinton slept through the last fifty years too. Nolan Wells is the latest individual they’ve tried to make a victim of racism. But the truth is the young man likely tragically drowned. May Nolan rest in peace and his memory be a blessing!

Seems to be far more black churches were burned by black hucksters of the Rev Al variety for insurance money. Someone tell what devinity school the good Rev attended?

Frank Santora's avatar

So much has gone on and still is. Has anything really changed or has it been camouflaged better?

Way back in the 60’s, it was all out in the open on both sides. It’s different today, with the assistance of the media, the left has a place to hide and willing co-conspirators to point the finger where they want it pointed.

Isn’t the real racism, the promise of non-existent benefits. Employing someone only because they

are black, hispanic or any minority isn’t a logical choice, and often leads to dismissal or poor production. However, we see it constantly and in the course of that employment the level of competence of other employees also dwindles. It’s happened where I worked and the result was often poor morale for all. When employers are afraid of legal reprisal they are hesitant to dismiss minorities leading to further deterioration of productivity and morale follows often resulting in dismissal of both incompetent and disenchanted workers .

However, where competent people of all persuasions exists, work ethic and camaraderie improves.

The key is education, and not the babble they are teaching in schools these days.

And yet now it appears we do have a rash of coordinated church bombings, all at a time when we are flooded with zealots and fanatics for the 'religion of peace'. Surely it is coincidental...

Daniel Sullivan's avatar

Great article. I did not know about the KGB connection via the WCC and NCC to the 1996 church burnings. At the time, I smelled an electioneering rat. But as a naive young man having graduated that year from college, I had no idea of the coordination involved in this manufactured conspiracy theory. How many hoaxes can a nation endure before it falls?

Much of the illegal immigration under Biden’s Team was “facilitated “ by leftwing church NGOs.

I’de love jack to do an article on them.

It’s target rich. Icky rich.

Good point, and then there are the international organizations, like the United Nation’s International Organization of Migration, that facilitated the migration of the faux asylum seekers to reach the U.S. border in the first place (such as providing food, shelter, instructions, safe corridors and check points, legal advice, etc.). And once they are here, the NGO’s organize the street protesters and rioters, egged on by leftwing politicians, to prevent the removal of every single refugee by immigration enforcement officers.
